Operational Responsibilities
• Monitor Boiler Performance:
• Ensure smooth operation of the AFBC boiler and auxiliary systems (ID fan, FD fan, bed ash handling, fuel feeding, etc.).
• Continuously monitor parameters such as bed temperature, furnace pressure, steam pressure, and flow.
• Load Management:
• Manage boiler load as per demand and instructions from the control room or plant manager.
• Start-Up and Shut-Down:
• Carry out safe start-up and shut-down procedures for the boiler during scheduled and emergency conditions.
• Troubleshooting:
• Identify and rectify operational problems such as fuel feeding issues, clinker formation, or air flow imbalances.
⚙️ Maintenance Coordination
• Preventive Maintenance Support:
• Coordinate with the maintenance team for routine and preventive maintenance activities.
• Ensure timely lubrication, inspection, and minor repairs.
• Breakdown Management:
• Report and assist in the rectification of mechanical/electrical breakdowns to reduce downtime.
