Job Description
SG1313 Limited is seeking reliable Shift Managers to oversee daily operations at our busy café located in Wellington. The role includes ensuring smooth day-to-day service, maintaining food and beverage quality, and supporting customer satisfaction and stock management.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with daily café operations, including opening and closing the store, setting up for service, and ensuring smooth handover between shifts.
Work alongside the team during service, helping with food and drink preparation, taking orders, and serving customers as required.
Support and guide café staff by allocating tasks, providing clear instructions, and ensuring work is completed on time and to standard.
Maintain high levels of customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, resolving issues, and making sure they have a positive experience.
Help with stock management, including checking supplies, restocking shelves and fridges, and reporting when new orders are needed.
Keep the café clean, tidy, and safe at all times, ensuring tables, counters, and equipment meet hygiene and safety requirements.
Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, process customer payments, and assist with cashing up at the end of the shift.
Support new staff by showing them basic café procedures and helping them settle into their roles.
Assist management with promotions, sales targets, and other activities to improve service and grow the business.
Carry out any other reasonable tasks needed to keep the café running smoothly.
Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and will be paid between $25 to $30 per hour.
Other requirements:
Relevant work experience is preferred but not mandatory as we provide full training
Available to work in the mornings and weekends.
