Shingler/Labourer

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Shinglers to join our crew. The ideal candidate will have experience in roofing and a strong understanding of construction practices. As a Shingler, you will be responsible for installing and repairing roofs using various materials, ensuring that they are watertight and durable. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Install shingles on roofs according to specifications and blueprints.

Perform repairs on existing roofs, including caulking and sealing.

Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to ensure proper installation.

Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Lift heavy materials as needed during the roofing process.

Skills

Proficient in caulking techniques for sealing roof joints.

Experience using hand tools such as hammers, saws, and drills.

Background in carpentry or maintenance person work is highly desirable.

Capable of heavy lifting and working in physically demanding conditions.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.83-$34.4+ per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week

Schedule:

8 hour shift

Monday to Friday

Weekends as needed

Work Location: In person
