Job Title: Shipbroker - Post fixture/ Operations
Job Type: Full Time
Job Location: Available for Mumbai or Gurugram
Duties and Responsibilities:
Attending to the communication and relevant emails/documents once the ship has been fixed.
Attending to Laytime, Bills of Lading, Freight and Hire Statements.
Attending to the needs of the charterer and owner's team with regards to the fixture.
Handling the issues that come up during the voyage and upon its completion.
Communication with external customers and internally with the chartering desk.
Preparing Fixture Note and Charter Party Documents.
Co-ordinating with owners and charterers for smooth performance of the voyage.
Minimum Experience Requirements: Experience in handling post fixture in dry bulk for minimum 2-3 years.
Preferred Experience Requirements: Experience in handling post fixture in dry bulk for minimum 2-3 years at a broking desk would be an added advantage.
Minimum Education Requirements: Graduate level complete.
Preferred Education Requirements: Dry Bulk Shipping specific course, MICS, etc., would be of advantage.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Good command of the general terms and charter party clauses pertaining to dry bulk.
Ability to relocate within India if required.
Good eye for detail.
Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in dry bulk shipping sector.
Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Strong executor.
Team player who has the discipline to work along with the team and meet pre-defined deadlines.
Ability to achieve results in a demanding and challenging environment.
Non-negotiable Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years in a dry bulk or tanker chartering/operations role handling post fixture or direct chartering related duties.
Knowledge of the fundamentals of Dry Bulk Chartering and having information about Dry Bulk Shipping.
