Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Coordinator
Job Type: Full-time, on-site
Salary: $26-$32 an hour
Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Warehouse Coordinator to manage the flow of goods in and out of our warehouse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately receiving incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, and preparing outgoing shipments in accordance with customer orders and company procedures. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Receiving
Unload incoming trucks and deliveries, ensuring the safe handling of materials.
Inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
Verify the contents of each shipment against packing slips and purchase orders.
Accurately record received items in the inventory management system.
Label and store received goods in designated warehouse locations.
Process returns and ensure proper documentation.
Shipping
Retrieve items from inventory based on customer orders or work orders.
Accurately select and pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, selecting appropriate packaging materials.
Generate shipping labels and necessary documentation (e.g., bills of lading, packing lists).
Coordinate with carriers for pickup schedules and ensure timely dispatch of shipments.
Inventory Management
Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
Report any inventory discrepancies or low stock levels to the supervisor.
Ensure proper storage and organization of warehouse inventory.
General Warehouse Duties:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Adhere to all company safety procedures and regulations.
Communicate effectively with other departments (e.g., purchasing, sales, customer service).
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
3-5 years of experience in shipping and receiving or a related warehouse role strongly preferred.
Familiarity with inventory management systems and procedures.
Ability to read and interpret packing slips, purchase orders, and other shipping documents.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects 60 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
Basic computer skills, including data entry and email.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
