The Opportunity

We are seeking self-motivated dedicated Shop Assistants to provide exceptional customer service and drive store sales in our store. This role will suit individuals who enjoy a challenge, can thrive in a fast paced physical environment and are adaptable to change.

You will be part of a large, diverse team and be responsible for having a positive impact on the results of your Cheap as Chips store by maximising sales through excellent customer service, displays and strong merchandising, ticketing, pricing, housekeeping, security, volume stock work and operating a cash register.

Future Store Management opportunities may be available to successful candidates who wish to progress in their career.

Skills and experience

To be successful in being selected, you must have demonstrated experience in:

Assisting customers with buying decisions and promoting the sale of add on items
Handling cash and process sales using EFTPOS
Positioning merchandise to create interest and maximise sales
Unpacking boxes and neatly stack shelves
Keeping up to date on product ranges and individual product features.
You should also be able to demonstrate the following skills:

Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Able to handle a fast paced environment
A positive attitude and the ability to make the workplace fun!
Job tasks and responsibilities

Assisting customers with buying decisions and promoting the sale of add on items

Unpacking boxes and neatly stacking shelves as required
Ensuring the store remains tidy and appealing to customers
