Job Description
1. Shop Assistant
· Employed for the principal purpose of performing customer service duties in the front of shop. May undertake some decorating duties;
Person Specification
Must have 2 years of work relevant experience .
· Perform shop set-up procedures and end-of-day procedures, including stocktake;
· Cleaning and maintain inside of showcase, including fine-tune the showcase e.g. labels, garnish fresh products. Replace products in showcase, as they become dry/maintain quality all day. Additionally, rotate showcase products in accordance with the Showcase Stock Rotation procedure (see store sign);
· Maintain supply of free samples. Ensure music is on / not too loud / soft;
· Cleaning as directed and/or as detailed in the New Employee Induction Training Guide;
· Date all products according to TCS standards;
· Remove empty wires from Coolroom and stock up the Coolroom as levels become low;
· Make Pavlova cream and decorate Pavlovas;
· Make boxes (small and large);
· Prepare orders. Cut and garnish products;
· Perform cash register procedures / transactions;
· Customer service - follow “Recipe for Customer Care” manual;
· Perform phone answering procedures in accordance with “Telephone Techniques” sign;
· Follow and maintain TCS uniform guidelines and ensure high standards of personal hygiene and sanitation;
· Maintain Food Safety Plan and Occupational Health & Safety Reports. Identify and report possible safety hazards;
· Follow Procedures and Operations Manuals. Attend training sessions; and
· Any other tasks reasonably required and as directed.
