The Supply Chain and Logistics Team
The Supply Chain and Logistics team plays a vital role in ensuring a strong and efficient supply chain and logistics infrastructure that drives business growth and enables global expansion.
They provide business planning guidance and logistics strategy assistance to existing businesses, helping them optimise their operational efficiency.
Operations Manager Role
We are looking for an operations manager to join our UK logistics team, responsible for the day-to-day operation management work of fulfilment management.
Responsibilities
• Manage and control performance and capacity of External Fulfilment Logistics providers (3PL);
• Monitor and analyze customer experience and operation performance, maintain and develop KPIs and SLAs with 3PL in a dynamic growing environment;
• Lead the conceptualization, design, and implementation of forward-thinking solutions, addressing supply chain and logistics challenges within TikTok Logistics with a strong focus on efficiency, speed, scale, and predictability;
• Work collaboratively across teams to gather and define comprehensive business requirements, ensuring that solutions are tailored to meet the specific needs of the supply chain and logistics operations;
• Manage relationships with multiple internal customers within the third party facility and cross-functionally across the organization;
• Recognize improvement opportunities specific to the cost and quality of services to be provided. Create documented business cases, present business cases to peers and leadership for approval, and provide ongoing project management;
• Collaborate closely with the systems teams to create and refine capability roadmaps that outline the development and integration of new technologies, tools, and systems required to implement the proposed solutions effectively;
• Drive the development of innovative solutions designs that leverage industry best practices and emerging technologies to address the unique challenges of the TikTok Shop Operations landscape.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Operations, (Industrial/Mechanical) Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field;
• 5 years of experience in logistics operations and at least 3 years of experience in e-fulfillment;
• Solid working experience and relationship with fulfillment service provider(s);
• Fair understanding in any segment of eCommerce logistics operation, including (but not included in) data integration, fulfilment warehousing, first-mile pickup, parcel sorting, middle-mile, courier delivery, return process, import clearance;
• Proficiency in oral and written in both English;
• Able to work full-time onsite at the fulfilment center.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Proven operations leadership experience in a fast-paced process driven environment;
• Excellent problem-solving skills: capable of identifying, assessing and mitigating risk and driving for solutions;
• Excellent analytical skills: Capable of identifying, assessing and mitigating risks or critical issues using data;
• Good project management skills: theoretical and practical knowledge of Lean techniques such as Kaizen or Six Sigma;
• A Master's degree in Logistics, Operations, (Industrial/Mechanical) Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
