Employment Type: Base schedule is part time (20 hours per week) Tuesday to Saturday 9am to 1pm, with the opportunity for more hours dependent on production schedule requirements.

We operate two main production channels:
Production Shop – Handles larger volume and longer-run orders with a typical 10–15 day lead time.
Print Bar – Focused on short-run and one-off orders with quick turnaround times.
The Shop Hand will play a key role in supporting both areas while following direction from our Production Hands.
Position Overview
The Shop Hand is an entry-level production support role focused on general labour, shop upkeep and assisting Production Hands.
Key Responsibilities
Production Support - as directed by Production Hands
Assist Production Hands with daily production tasks.
Assist with preparing and organizing materials such as garments, inks, threads, screens, and graphics for daily production.
Assist with machine setup and tear-down for digital, screen printing and embroidery.
Assist with job finishing such as heat pressing, mounting, cleanup, cutting, trimming, weeding and quality control checks.
Clean and reclaim screens; assist with coating and exposures.
Assist with packing, unpacking, catching, and staging goods.
Assist with preparing completed orders for shipping and or pick up, as well as sending customer notifications.
Receiving & Inventory
Receive, unpack, and verify incoming goods and supplies against order records.
Organize and stage goods/materials as needed.
Update Shopworks to confirm receiving quantities and maintain accurate inventory tracking.
Machine Maintenance & Shop Upkeep
Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly machine maintenance as directed by Production Hands.
Keep production areas clean, organized, and stocked for efficiency and safety.
Perform daily shop cleaning and janitorial duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting & surface cleaning, garbage removal and more.
Schedule & Flexibility
Base schedule is Tuesday to Saturday, 4-hour shifts starting at 9am. The role typically averages approximately 20 hours per week, with the ability to increase to 30-40 hours per week during peak periods. Additional hours will be provided at the discretion of Production Hands with as much advance notice as possible. Ability to work additional hours when requested is a requirement.
Qualifications & Skills
Willingness to perform hands-on, physical work in a production environment.
Strong work ethic, reliability and punctuality.
Ability to follow instructions and support a variety of tasks throughout your shift.
Able to stand and be active for extended periods,
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Interest in learning production processes and growing production skills.
Works well within a team and coordinates effectively across departments.
Compensation & Hours
Hours: Base of 20 hours per week; with availability for more hours during Spring and Summer peak periods
Compensation: Starting wage $16.00/hour
