We are currently looking for a motivated and physically fit individual to join our team as a Shop Hand/Various position helper.

JOB OVERVIEW

- Prioritize shipments and orders. Must be able to work well under pressure.

- Pick-ups and drop-offs using company vehicle.

- Operate forklift, pallet jack or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.

- Receive hollow metal shipments as these are delivered and store goods in the appropriate location.

- Maintain cleanliness of Shipping/Receiving/Shop area.

- Maintain a positive attitude, have a friendly personality, and work well with others.

- Willingness to ask questions when unsure of a task.

- Sidewalk snow clearing.

- All other duties as assigned.

- Your main duties are to aid with a variety of tasks, including daily administration of the shop, and provide support for more experienced workers. As an entry-level position, the qualifications for the job are minimal. You should have a high school diploma and an interest in a career in the field. Important skills include good listening and strong verbal communication.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Must demonstrate good observational skills and attention to fine details.

- Must be able to regularly lift 50 lbs. or more.

- Must demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills when dealing with customers in person and on the phone.

- Have basic computer knowledge.

- Must be able to work with a team and independently. As an entry-level position, the qualifications for the job are minimal. You should have a high school diploma and an interest in a career in the field. Important skills include good listening and strong verbal communication.

- Must be familiar with use of hand/power tools and be able to read a tape measure.

- Welding experience an asset.

Starting wage will be based on the successful applicant’s skills and experience. Participation in the company’s cost-shared employee benefits plan after 3 months.
