Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Shop Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of vehicles and equipment. You will work in a fast-paced environment where high standards of work, professionalism, and customer satisfaction are expected.

Responsibilities:

From day to day, the Shop Mechanic can perform any combination of the tasks and duties below, depending on the needs of their employer, but not limited to:
• Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of vehicles, machinery, and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Repair and replace components, including engines, transmissions, brake systems, electrical systems, and other parts.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and services performed.
• Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Work closely with management to provide updates on the progress of repairs and address any concerns.
• Keep the shop organized, clean, and equipped with the necessary tools and materials.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
• Assists in maintaining company facilities, both the outside grounds and building interiors.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
• A valid California driver's license and a clean driving record are required for this role.
• Minimum 5 years of experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in a comparable role or related field.
• Proven experience as a mechanic with a strong background in automotive repair, restoration, or heavy equipment.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of both modern and older vehicle systems.
• Ability to perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs and diagnostics.
• Detail-oriented with a passion for quality craftsmanship.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with customers.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to prioritize workload, multitask and be detail-oriented.

Physical Requirements:
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle, or feel, stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear.
• The employee must be able to lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to work in a shop environment with exposure to mechanical equipment and varying temperatures.

Job Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $22.00 to $34.00 (DOE)

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8-hour day shift

Work Location: In-person, Murrieta, CA
