Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure all wiring is tagged, terminated, and secured in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
• Perform wiring modifications, repairs, and installations for electrical components and control panels.
• Assemble electrical enclosures and related systems following engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Mount and install electrical components within control panels.
• Fabricate and install light metal assemblies for larger panel systems.
• Fabricate light metal pieces for use in larger assemblies.
• Communicate effectively regarding issues with schematics, cabinet assembly, or point-to-point wiring.
• Verify engineering documentation to ensure correct and current revisions are used.
• Work closely with supervisors and leads to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Collaborate with supervisors and leads to ensure assignments are completed accurately and on time.
• Use a variety of hand, air, and power tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company standards.
• Participate in required training, meetings, and development programs.Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Shop Tech 1
• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least one (1) year of stable, relevant work experience in a manufacturing, shop, or warehouse environment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical assembly and basic electrical drawings, symbols, and systems.
• Familiarity with electrical circuit design concepts and schematic interpretation.
• Proficiency in the use of common hand and power tools.Valid state-issued driver’s license and eligibility to operate a company vehicle under company policy.
Shop Tech 2
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience wiring control panels or related assembly work.
• Ability to read and interpret moderately complex mechanical and electrical drawings, symbols, and systems.
• Proficiency in using hand, air, and electric tools safely and effectively.
• Attention to detail with the ability to produce clean and accurate wiring bundles.Valid state-issued driver’s license and eligibility to operate a company vehicle under company policy.
Shop Tech Senior
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in wiring and assembling electrical control panels.
• Strong ability to interpret complex mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, and safe working practices.
• Proven leadership and mentorship experience within a manufacturing or shop environment.
• Valid driver’s license and eligibility to operate a company vehicle per policy.
