Job Description
We are seeking a Junior Shopify Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of our e-commerce platform. As a Junior Shopify Developer, you will work closely with our senior developers and project managers to conceptualize, execute, and deliver high-quality code for Shopify-based websites and applications. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in building, testing, and troubleshooting software solutions, ensuring they meet our clients' requirements and industry best practices. You will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced and collaborative environment while working on exciting e-commerce projects.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with senior developers and project managers to understand and analyze software requirements
• Develop, implement, and customize Shopify themes, plugins, and integrations
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following coding standards and best practices
• Conduct thorough testing of developed features, identify and resolve software issues and bugs
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving software-related issues reported by customers or partners
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and identify areas for improvement
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify platform updates, APIs, and industry trends
• Provide support and guidance to customers and partners regarding Shopify development queries
Qualifications:
• Solid understanding of programming languages (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and familiarity with Shopify Liquid templating language
• Experience working with Shopify platform and its APIs
• Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) and code collaboration tools
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to write clean, well-documented code
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• A strong passion for web development and eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 1+ years of hands-on experience with web development, preferably with exposure to Shopify development
• Demonstrated portfolio or examples of previous Shopify projects or personal development projects (if available)
