Position Description
The Expeditor provides 'meet and greet' services with all facets of passenger and baggage handling. The main objective is to coordinate with the customer and management to ensure desired logistics objectives, priorities, and schedules are met and communicated.
Expeditor must be ready to solve problems and issues on the fly with a contingency plan at all times. Shuttle's are most often scheduled in the early morning hours but there are some afternoon/ evening shuttles as well. We don;t know the exact dates of all shuttles yet but we do have some dates.
Key Responsibilities
Meet, greet and transport guests from arrival list
Manage luggage – Collect, transport to departure location and tags (must be able to lift larger bags up to 80 lbs)
Oversee changeovers. Ensure correct people, bags and freight are boarded correctly.
Calculate weight/load balance for flights
Purchase items at various vendors to meet client/guest requests
Maintain both electronic and manual inventory of items received, warehoused and shipped
May include some shopping
Deliver purchased items to warehouse, sort weigh and label items.
Pick up customer mail
Create flight manifests
Track and monitor priority requests, verifying packing lists and other documentation.
Track shipments from issuance of purchase order to delivery of final destination.
Full commitment to the summer season, including 4:00 AM starts, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
Valid Class 4 Driver's License
Clean Enhanced Criminal Record check
1 + years experience in tourism preferred
Knowledge of city routes, St. Andrews, and Lac du Bonnet
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
Basic computer skills: assett if know Google business suite programs (sheet and doc)
Strong math skills
First Aid and CPR an asset
Able to lift 50-60 lbs
Salary - D.O.Q.
Work Setting - Office, Winnipeg Region
Work Location: 701B S Gate Rd, St. Andrews, MB R1A 3P8
Anticipated Start Date - ASAP
Busy Season: Mid May to August - some sporadic shuttles after August
