Role Overview

The Production Expeditor / Site Manager will support the site follow-up of building manufacturing and assembly activities. The initial scope includes the building shell, interior PB/DB installation, FPS, HVAC, lighting installation, and related production progress tracking.

There may be an optional future scope extension to include electrical equipment installation and integrated commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for daily and weekly production follow-up, supplier coordination, reporting, and QA/QC-related oversight.

Responsibilities include:
• Confirm required materials are ordered and delivered on time.
• Track daily and weekly production progress, including manpower, labor hours, shifts, completed tasks, and open challenges.
• Maintain and follow up on punch lists, corrective actions, and issue resolution.
• Attend scheduled and urgent project calls.
• Review daily work plans and confirm completed activities.
• Schedule and lead 2–3 week look-ahead calls with suppliers and sub-suppliers.
• Conduct site visits to supplier and sub-supplier manufacturing facilities as needed.
• Ensure look-ahead plans include witness points, hold points, and inspection requirements.
• Coordinate with QA teams to support Notice of Inspection requirements.
• Review weekly production capacity, equipment deliveries, manpower availability, planned work, and percentage completion.
• Prepare weekly reports and provide updates to project and procurement teams.
• Report on welding equipment condition and ensure equipment certifications are current.
• Verify that cranes, welding equipment, and other required tools/equipment are properly certified.
• Promote safe work practices and escalate or stop work when safety concerns arise.
• Coordinate with site QA teams to ensure work aligns with project drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify and mitigate schedule risks.
• Recommend improvements to optimize manufacturing processes and supplier performance.

Required Qualifications
• Engineering degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or a related field, or equivalent technical experience.
• Strong understanding of design documents, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
• Experience with metal building installation, including prefabricated structures, steel framing, and cladding.
• Prior QA/QC or inspection experience in pre-engineered buildings or similar structures.
• Knowledge of welding, bolting, paneling, and structural alignment for prefabricated buildings.
• Familiarity with welding codes, industry standards, and local building regulations.
• Strong understanding of QC/QA procedures, including material inspections and workmanship verification.
• Experience using measuring tools, laser levels, and survey instruments for alignment checks.
• Experience with scheduling and planning tools such as Primavera P6 or similar platforms.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting prefabricated metal building manufacturing or installation, strong QA/QC knowledge, and the ability to drive supplier progress while maintaining schedule, quality, and safety expectations.

Candidates with experience in steel framing, cladding, welding inspections, structural alignment, Primavera P6, production tracking, and supplier coordination are strongly encouraged to apply.
