Silverstrand is currently looking for a suitably qualified Site Engineer for an immediate start on a large rail project located in South Brisbane.
We are looking for a person with a background in civil construction, including Earthworks, Drainage and Concrete Form/Reo/Pour. This role will be site based.
The successful candidate must have the following qualifications/ experience:
- Engineering qualifications or similar;
- Minimum of 2 years' onsite experience;
- Prior experience in an infrastructure or construction role;
- Thorough knowledge of codes and standards;
- A strong focus on WHS;
- Experience with SWMS, ITP's and quality documentation;
- Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications;
- A good understanding of MS Excel, Word Project etc;
Daily Tasks include:
- Ensuring compliance with safety & site environmental requirements;
- Provision of technical advice to stakeholders and clients;
- Management of sub-contractors and suppliers;
- Problem solving in relation to civil and structural requirements;
- Setting out and surveying;
- Procurement and management;
- Coordinating resources on site;
- Procurement of plant and materials;
- Inputting daily data onto MS spreadsheets;
- Record keeping;
- Programming of works;
Must be willing to travel.
