Opportunity
Award-winning commercial specialist builder requires a contract site manager for a prestigious high-end fit out refurb project in Canberra, ACT.
Working as the No.1 site manager, you will initially run start to finish a $1.5m multi-level spec suite and refurb project in the heart of Canberra.
With a strong pipeline of works in place, this 16-week guaranteed contract role will very likely be the start of several challenging back-to-back fit out projects for the 'right fit' site manager in Canberra.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years' experience as a Site Manager with a head contractor
Relevant qualifications in Construction Management or related field
Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulations
Excellent leadership and organizational skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Trade background (e.g., carpentry, electrical, plumbing) highly desirable
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all aspects of the fit out project, ensuring it is executed within budget, timeline, and to the client's specifications
Coordinate with various stakeholders including architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Monitor progress and quality of work on-site, conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues or delays promptly.
Manage and motivate a team of workers, providing guidance, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and industry standards
