Job Summary
As a Site Reliability Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase with the Compliance Controls & Reg Tech team which is aligned to Finance Risk Data and Controls Team, you will use technology to solve business problems and leverage software engineering best practices as we strive towards excellence. This role often works independently to execute small to medium projects, but you'll also have the opportunity to collaborate with cross functional teams to continually improve your level of knowledge about JPMorgan Chase's business and relevant technologies.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and debug automated tasks (Apps, Systems, Infrastructure)
Build software solutions which improve the application observability, availability and self heals.
Work with development teams throughout the software life cycle ensuring sustainable software releases
Perform analytics on previous incidents and usage patterns to better predict issues and take proactive actions
Lead and participate in performance tests; identify bottlenecks, opportunities for optimization, and capacity demands
Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless post-mortems
Participate in the 24x7 support coverage whenever required.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills :
BTech/BE degree of equivalent experience with 3-6 years of Software Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering
Hands on experience on Cloud Foundry/AWS or similar cloud platform
Hands on experience on telemetry and monitoring using splunk, appdynamic, synatrace, geneous, Grafana and CI/CD tools
End to end understanding on Incident and Problem management and Experience with Oracle/MS-Sql or any other database, and one or more general purpose programming languages (e.g. Python, Java)
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., bash, PowerShell) to automate tasks and manipulate data
Experience with SQL for metrics development and Experience with Linux, Windows
Experience troubleshooting Tomcat/Compile/Web/DB performance and other system level components
Designs and contributes to performance monitoring and capacity management tools.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Knowledge of Open Source and Source Code vulnerabilities and scanning methods a plus
Exposure on Big Data technology will be added advantage
Advanced knowledge of one or more infrastructure components (e.g. networking, cloud services, orchestration tools, containerization, compute, and storage systems)
