The Team
Within the Database Team you can work with databases as well as AWS technologies.
We are not only dealing with databases, but also heading towards CI/CD and constantly improving our systems by securing services and enabling our organizations to utilize the infrastructure we provide. But you will not only be responsible for providing and maintaining the infrastructure and database setup but also responsible for operating our services within the AWS Cloud. The Tasks
• You work on Oracle database reliability and performance aspects from within the SRE team as well as work on shipping solutions with the product.
• You contribute to the design of the solution, implementation of infrastructure design and document your implementation.
• You work on observability of relevant database metrics and make sure we reach our database objectives.
• You work with peer SREs to roll out changes to our production environment and help mitigate database-related production incidents.
• You support operations and take over responsibility for productive processes.
• You provide database expertise to engineering teams coach our DEVs for efficient SQLs / DB Performance etc.
• You work on automation of database infrastructure and help engineering succeed by providing self-service tools.
• You plan and manage the capacity of Oracle database infrastructure.
• You create building blocks for engineering teams, so you build it you operate it securely culture is of higher standards.

Oracle 1+C RDS databases, MySQL, SQL, PL/SQL Golden Gate, Database Observability (OEM, Cloudwatch), Terraform, AWS technologies (RDS, Aurora, EFS, EBS, FSx, S3, and a lot more), Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, Git, Kubernetes, Docker, Grafana, Prometeus, Opensearch, Puppet, Katello, Jenkins and Jenkins DSL
Qualifications
The Skills
• You have at least 5+ years of work experience running Oracle Databases in large production environments (Administration).
• You have at least 2+ years of work experience with configuration management and know how’s of infrastructure automation.
• You have good to excellent understanding & knowledge of AWS Cloud Services and technologies.
• You have experience with Python programming language (Beginner level is fine).
• You have understanding of Terraform (Infra structure as a code).
• You are characterized by a high-quality awareness and your trustworthiness.
• Willingness to learn and contribute.
• Have an urge for delivering quickly and iterating fast.
• You have the ability to orchestrate and automate complex administrative tasks.
• You are interested in modern technologies.
• You can work on your own authority in an agile team.
• You have excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
