Job Title: Site Supervisor – Commercial Construction

Job Summary:

Action Installations & Maintenance (AIM) is hiring an experienced Site Supervisor to manage day-to-day activities on commercial construction job. Projects vary in scope, including hospitality, retail buildouts, remodels, and new commercial developments. This role requires a detail-oriented leader with field management experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate across teams and trades.

Key Responsibilities:

Work as a partner daily with the Action Team, including the Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager.

Serve as the on-site representative of Action, overseeing labor crews and subcontractors.

Collaborate with Project Managers and Operations to execute project plans on schedule.

Enforce site-specific safety and quality protocols in alignment with project requirements.

Track and manage materials, deliveries, and site logistics to prevent downtime.

Provide timely updates, documentation, and photos through ProCore or similar platforms.

Interpret construction documents to guide field decisions and layout execution.

Coordinate with the GC, client reps, inspectors, and other subcontractors on-site.

Conduct performance assessments of field teams and provide coaching as needed.

Support resolution of jobsite challenges and escalate issues when appropriate.

Monitor and report on project progress to Director of Operations and Project Manager.

Strong communication, reporting, and scheduling skills.

Competent with mobile apps, emails, text, WhatsApp, and digital tools (ProCore, MS Outlook).

Able to navigate multi-story construction sites with limited elevator access.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Thoroughly review and comprehend the project schedule and contract documents as needed to perform the job description
Set performance goals and deadlines. Providing and demonstrating clear expectations to Action workforce.
Plan construction processes.
Review project budget with Project Manager to assure project goals align with project budget.
Plan inspections and obtain construction permits from local authorities.
Know all requirements and steps for inspections and what is needed to obtain Certificate of Occupancy.

Familiarity with regional and local building codes, inspection requirements and permit requirements.
Order the appropriate equipment, materials and arrange for regular maintenance of Action equipment and/or rental equipment.
Keep track of material stock and orders, including inventory.
Ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly. Assure work force wears proper safety protective protection and clothing/uniform.
Provide supervision and leadership of Action labor workforce on an hourly, daily, and weekly basis. Collaborate and coordinate with clients, General Contractor, engineers, subcontractors, etc. to determine project needs.
Ensure and enforce Safety in the workplace. Leading safety meetings (including weekly toolbox talks) and going over procedures with crew.
Implement quality guidelines and ensure the quality of the work done.
Ensure adherence to the project campus regulations, rules, safety, expectations, quality, schedule, and compliance of all.
Coordinate Action's scope of work with General Contractor and/or Owner's Supervision Team as needed and required.
Create positive work relationships with GC, Owner, inspectors and other GC/Owner team members who we will work alongside.

Manage and implement Contract Schedule adherence, complicated phasing and sequencing, and manpower scheduling.
Troubleshoot and problem solve with the team, other trades, General Contractor, Owner and end user.
Familiarize self with multiple building blueprints of the entire project for overall breadth and scope of the project.
Utilize General Contractor/Owner software for reporting and/or Action’s software that includes Procore.
Provide daily detailed reports electronically using ProCore: manpower count, what they are doing, where they are working, issues, visitors, directives, safety issues, etc.
Evaluate labor work force performance and make recommendations as may be needed.
Physical needs of the role include frequent daily walking, using ladders, using stairs and elevators as appropriate; able to lift to 40 pounds; may need to on occasion work with tools for installation of work; sitting and standing for periods of time.
Use of computers and cell phones for communication and documentation daily including emails, texts, phone calls and software communications and documentation.
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by the Director of Operations appropriate to the role.
