Job Description
We are seeking a remote Sitecore Developer for X-Rite/Esko. Your responsibilities will be the following:
• Satisfy customers by meeting their expectations regarding quality and delivery of projects, support, and customer service.
• Effective skills of identifying, reproducing, documenting and resolution of software/system/process problems as they arise.
• Adherence to coding and software standard practices in place; with ability to recognize and recommend improvements to the standards.
• Active structured software development skills in C#, MS SQL, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, and other web languages; willingness to learn, support and recommend new technologies consistent with the company objectives.
• Assist in training and support of the users of the Sitecore website implemented by the team.
• Maintain accessible and useful documentation for web site and web applications.
• Assist in maintaining, tuning, and monitoring company web servers for performance, availability, and security notify the appropriate parties of any potential liabilities or failures.
• Follow and take a role in refining standards in developing and implementing web application data access/update methods.
• Adhere to SDLC standard work (and work with team to continuously improve the process).
• Recommend changes to the systems or procedures to improve the quality of the Sitecore website
• Assist in maintaining website visitor/customer privacy & security while visiting website.
• Participate in Daily Management meetings (and lead meetings on a rotating basis).
• Strong communication skills and fluent in English.
• Must be able to work similar hours to European and North American teams (until 12PM EST/ 6PM CET)
• Well versed in SEO and search engine best practices
• Produce high-quality designs and implementations on the website using Sitecore CMS.
• Produce functional, responsive, and defect-free templates, content blocks, and other reusable web elements.
• Ensure implementations satisfy user experience (UX) with no errors, issues, or web downtime.
• Develop website code, functionality, and design which is consumable for search engine crawlers.
• Develop fully functional website elements and pages that align with business objectives.
• Identify UI defects and bugs and devise solutions that are compatible with most modern browsers, devices, and search engines.
• Work closely with marketing, design, content, and engineering teams in a global distributed team environment.
• Devise, follow, and improve master test plan at multiple stages of the development cycle, such as planning, implementation, and post-live phases
• Ability to run database queries and Sitecore reports.
General Requirements:
• High School degree/GED and 2+ years of relevant experience required or bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems.
• Must be experienced with .NET programming architecture and 5+ years of experience.
• Must be certified in Sitecore or higher.
• Must have 5+ years of experience in Sitecore.
• Required experience with C#, MS SQL, Web Languages (HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) to deal effectively with a variety of people (both technical and non-technical).
• Ability to effectively perform the above-mentioned essential job functions.
• Experience using Git clients such as BuildMaster, BitBucket, or GitKraken.
