Job Description
Overview
Cyient Digital is seeking a Smallworld resources for application development to join our Geospatial Team. We are developing industry-leading solutions that combine the power of Geospatial data such as Utility Network, Imagery and Lidar for planning and design. Reporting to the Product Owner, you’ll be based in Hyderabad (India) working alongside a global team that includes members in the Australia, UK and US.
Your Role
Requirements gathering and Requirements analysis
Requirements implementation and Application development
Environment setup and sessions configurations with smallworld product verions 4x.
Provide solutions for complex application development
Development of multiple custom applications
Involvment in creation of technical documents like low level design documents,
deployment documents, setup documents, Test case documents etc.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
Documentation of functional, non-functional specifications, Solution designing, use cases, processes and business process improvement and acceptance criteria.
Technical Abilities
Proven experience as a Senior Software developer er or similar role
Experience in application development and complex application development
Continuous customer interactions for requirement gathering
Hands on experience in Smallworld 4.0 & 5x versions
Development of applications using Magik
Development of GUI functionalities
Strong knowledge in Magik language
Working knowledge of smallworld application development and configuration using Magik language
Hands on knowledge on Data modeling, data migration, design manager and system administration
experience in implementing end-to-end enterprise GIS solutions
Knowledge in integrating with other systems
String knowledge of development in GE smallworld electric office projects
Excellent communication skills
Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
Strong organizational skills
Btech/BE in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
Skills & Experience
