The Smart Energy Company is a fast-growing, award-winning renewable energy solutions provider and we are looking for our next Smart Energy Solar Sales Rep!
Our high-achieving team is dedicated to helping farmers and businesses alike generate their own power and independence through our patented NOREASTER solution and battery energy storage. Boasting a portfolio of the most robust solar solutions custom built for harsh weather in Canada, we are a leader in the Atlantic Region and looking to grow our team and market share in Ontario.
Here’s What You’ll Get to Do:
Qualify high-potential customers and drive sales growth across Ontario and your market by working with B2B agricultural focused customers to deliver customer solutions for their energy needs.
Undertake high-level design and estimating/quoting of solar and battery systems to enable quick turnaround of solutions tailored to your clients’ individual needs.
Develop a business plan to drive strategic growth across the region and be a local presence for the company. Engage with the agricultural community by speaking at public seminars and forums and staying up to date on the latest agricultural trends.
You are:

An influencer and great listener. You take the time to understand the client’s business and develop solutions that meet their individual needs. You are a great negotiator, persuasive, and motivate clients to take action.
Entrepreneurial and business focused. You understand how your solution can help your clients become more profitable and can confidently speak about profit, cost-reduction, return on investment, and more.
Highly experienced in outbound sales and an expert at delivering highly technical solutions to a variety of audiences. You regularly exceed sales targets of $1M+ and close deals in the 5-6 figure range.
An exceptional communicator and experienced in software platforms such as HubSpot (CRM), Helioscope (solar design), Microsoft Office, and more.
Agricultural and solar experience is a great asset but not required. University or college degree is preferred, along with 3+ years of outbound sales experience.

Base salary starting at $80,000+
On target earnings will allow high achievers to earn $120,000 + year one.
Car allowance, phone allowance, and expenses provided in addition to base salary and commission
3 weeks vacation, 2 weeks off over the holidays, and 5 personal days guarantees 6 weeks off per year.

This position offers great flexibility for candidates with remote working experience who are reliable self-starters.
