Job Responsibilities:
Develop the design and implementation of visually stunning and user-friendly OTT frontend interfaces for Smart TV applications on platforms such as LG, Samsung, Roku and Sony.
Ensure seamless integration with backend services and third-party APIs.
Demonstrate expertise in Smart TV frontend development on platforms like LG WebOS, Samsung Tizen, Roku, and Sony Android TV.
Optimise user interfaces for different screen sizes and resolutions.
Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to translate design specifications into functional and engaging Smart TV interfaces.
Provide input on design feasibility and recommend improvements for optimal user experience.
Identify and implement strategies for optimising frontend performance, responsiveness, and overall user experience.
Conduct thorough testing to ensure consistent performance across various Smart TV models.
Ensure cross-platform compatibility by testing and debugging Smart TV applications on different devices and platforms.
Collaborate with the backend development team to address any integration challenges.
Uphold high coding standards and conduct regular code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency.
Collaborate with the development team to implement best practices for frontend development.
Create and maintain documentation for frontend development processes, including coding standards, best practices, and guidelines.
Provide training and guidance to junior developers on frontend development techniques.
Skills Required:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
At least 5 years of experience in SmartTV application development.
Proficiency in development of web technologies, using React JS and having fair knowledge on HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript, and relevant frameworks/libraries.
Experience with frontend development on Smart TV platforms such as LG WebOS, Samsung Tizen, Roku and Sony Android TV.
Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and design patterns.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex frontend issues.
Familiarity with version control systems (e. g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Proven ability to lead and mentor a frontend development team.
Experience of working in the Media and Communication / broadcast business domain.
