Full-time, temporary 10-month contract.
Anticipated start date: August 25, 2025.
Hours of Work
Monday to Friday, 35 hours/week
Compensation
$35.66 per hour + Benefits

The Opportunity
The SNP Support Coordinator acts as a central resource for principals, volunteers, and site coordinators to support all aspects of local Student Nutrition Programs (SNPs) at assigned schools. The role focuses on helping school communities build capacity to deliver high-quality, nutritious programs that meet provincial and municipal guidelines. Responsibilities include conducting site visits, providing training and operational support, assisting with financial reporting, and promoting cost-effective menu planning and food purchasing practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Operation
Deliver training and guidance to school staff and SNP volunteers to support high-quality program delivery.
Conduct site visits and maintain communication to help resolve issues and build program capacity.
Support cost-effective, nutritious menu planning aligned with nutrition guidelines.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure alignment with program goals.
Assist with onboarding, data collection, reporting, and documentation in the Common Database System (CDS).
Contribute to special projects, resource updates, and continuous improvement efforts.
Financial
Collaborate with the Finance Manager to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across assigned SNP sites.
Train SNP Volunteer Coordinators and school staff on budgeting, eligible expenses, and reconciliation processes.
Review and support monthly financial submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance with funder requirements.
Guide sites in developing realistic budgets and promoting cost-effective food purchasing to optimize resources.
Required Skills and Experience
Minimum 2 – 3 years of experience in community-based programs.
Strong communications and interpersonal skills. A second language is an asset.
Ability to work with diverse communities.
Experience with budgeting and financial reporting in a non-profit or school environment is preferred.
Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel.
Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
Knowledge of student nutrition programs and school communities is an asset.
