About the role

Build strong stakeholder ties; advise senior leaders on clear, consistent messaging that align to priorities and drive engagement with division audiences
Write sharp, audience-focused content; translate complex information across multiple channels
Continuously improve comms effectivness; use insights, feedback to refine approaches and coordinate delivery to ensure consistent, high-impact communication
This role sits within the Divisional Communications team in the Strategic and Internal Communications unit, supporting leadership communications for Education Support Staff.
Available due to an internal secondment, this is an excellent opportunity to join a fun and collaborative team while gaining a strategic view on priorities, reforms and initiatives across one of the largest education systems in Australia.
You’ll partner into Deputy Secretary Offices to craft clear, engaging messaging and narratives for the channels you manage. Your work will help staff understand priorities, connect to purpose and feel proud of the difference they make.

About you

This is a great opportunity to join a fun, collaborative and high-performing team and provide communications support to Deputy Secretary Offices. You’re an experienced internal communications professional who can quickly understand priorities and translate them into clear, engaging messages for staff. We’re looking for someone who brings:
Experience delivering internal communications in a large or complex organisation.
Strong writing and editing skills, including drafting leader messages and staff communications.
Confidence advising senior stakeholders on messaging and narrative development.
Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality communications to tight deadlines.
Experience planning and delivering communications across internal channels (e.g. town halls, newsletters, staff updates or enterprise social platforms).
Essential requirements of the role
Demonstrated experience delivering internal communications in a large or complex organisation.
Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
