Role Overview:
We're looking for a Social Media Manager with strong content instincts and community-building experience. This role is focused on driving engagement, nurturing conversations, and building long-term parent communities that contribute organically to brand trust, growth, and customer acquisition.
This is not a passive posting role. It is for someone who enjoys interacting with audiences, building relationships, and shaping how a brand shows up every day.
Key Responsibilities :
Content & Engagement :
• Plan and execute engaging content across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
• Create vibrant, relatable, and value-driven content tailored to parents and children.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop content ideas aligned with brand and growth goals
• Stay updated on content formats, trends, and engagement-led storytelling styles
• Actively engage with audiences through comments, DMs, and community interactions
Social Media Management:
• Own TalentGum's social media calendars and posting cadence
• Monitor performance and optimize content for higher engagement
• Maintain consistent brand voice and messaging across platforms
• Live & Interactive Content (Part of the Role)
• Support and occasionally host live or interactive formats such as Instagram Lives, AMAs, or Q&A sessions
• Coordinate with instructors or team members for live sessions and campaigns
Community Building & Alternative Platforms:
• Build TalentGum's presence on community-driven platforms such as Reddit and Quora
• Initiate and participate in meaningful discussions around parenting, learning, and child development
• Help grow and nurture communities that can evolve into loyal brand advocates
• Establish TalentGum as a trusted, value-first voice rather than a promotional brand.
Growth & Brand Advocacy:
• Work closely with the growth team to align community and content efforts with acquisition goals
• Translate community insights into content ideas and engagement strategies
• Support organic referrals and word-of-mouth growth through community trust
What We're Looking For:
Must-Have
• Experience managing social media pages for a brand
• Strong understanding of engagement-driven content
• Good written and visual storytelling skills
• Comfortable participating in live or interactive content when required
• Ability to build and nurture online communities
Good-to-Have
• Experience with Reddit, Quora, or discussion-led platforms
• Background in ed-tech, parenting, or consumer communities
• Familiarity with basic analytics and content performance tracking
