About The Role:
We are looking for a passionate and creative Social Media Content Creator to join our dynamic digital team at The Hitavada. You will be the voice and lens of the city – capturing stories that matter, trends that engage, and moments that connect. From local issues and food discoveries to cultural events and civic matters, your content will bring Central India to life on social media.

Key Responsibilities:
• Daily Content Creation:
• Ideate, shoot, edit, and post 3–4 short-form videos (reels) daily on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts.
• Cover a mix of local news/issues, F&B hotspots, “Things to Do Around”, community stories, and trending local content.
• Weekly Video Features:
• Conceptualize and produce 1–2 long-form issue-based videos each week for YouTube – delving deeper into topics of public interest.
• Social Media Management:
• Optimize video content for engagement and reach across all platforms.
• Write compelling captions, use relevant hashtags, and engage with followers through comments and DMs.
• Track performance metrics (views, likes, shares) and suggest content improvements based on insights.
• Editorial Coordination:
• Work closely with the editorial team to align content themes with the publication’s voice and priorities.
• Take necessary approvals for content ideas, scripts, and final edits before publishing when required.
• Collaboration & Coverage:
• Coordinate with reporting, photography, and events teams for leads and on-ground support.
• Attend local events, press meets, and city happenings to capture real-time, engaging content.

Requirements:
• Proven experience in creating video content for social media (Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
• Strong video editing skills using mobile or desktop tools (e.g., InShot, CapCut, Adobe Premiere Rush).
• A good eye for storytelling, framing, and trending audio use.
• Comfort with being on-camera and/or voicing over content is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and an understanding of social media trends.
• Self-motivated, deadline-driven, and passionate about journalism and content creation.
