Social Media Content Creator and Strategist

We’re seeking a creative, proactive, and trend-savvy Social Media Content Creator & Strategist to take full ownership of our company’s Instagram and other social platforms. This is not a job for an intern or someone who needs direction at every step — we’re looking for a professional with a sharp eye, initiative, and the ability to execute a clear, high-end visual vision. You'll work closely with the business owner to turn ideas into engaging, high-performing content that tells our brand story and drives growth.

Responsibilities:

Develop, manage, and execute a content calendar for Instagram and other key platforms (e.g. TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Threads).Visit job sites to film and photograph projects in progress and final results.Capture behind-the-scenes content in the office, in the field, and at events.Be on-camera as needed—introducing content, doing walkthroughs, or narrating updates.Edit videos and photos in-house for Reels, Stories, feed posts, and carousels.Stay ahead of platform trends, audio, hashtags, and creative styles, and apply them smartly to our brand.Write captions, calls to action, and help with community engagement (comments, DMs, etc.).Regularly report on engagement, growth, and content performance.Requirements2+ years experience creating content for social media (Instagram expertise is a must)Strong video editing and photo editing skills (iPhone and pro gear both welcome)Familiarity with Reels trends, algorithm strategy, and platform-native toolsComfortable being both behind and in front of the cameraReliable transportation to job sites and client locations (local travel required)Excellent communication and creative storytelling skillsHighly organized and self-directed with a problem-solving mindsetPartnerships & Community BuildingIdentify, reach out to, and manage relationships with influencers, creators, clients, and complementary brands for collaborations and cross-promotionAssist in building partnerships with local businesses, vendors, or community figures to expand our reachWork with leadership to conceptualize and launch brand campaigns, giveaways, or eventsEngage with the online community — responding to comments, messages, and mentions to build a loyal audienceBonus Skills (Not Required, but Preferred)Graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Suite)Paid ad experience on Meta platformsPhotography/videography with DSLR/mirrorless camerasExperience managing a brand account with 10K+ followersWhat We OfferCompetitive salary ($55K–$80K depending on experience)Paid time off and holidaysFlexible scheduling where possibleRoom to grow into a Creative Director or Marketing Lead roleA chance to truly own and shape the voice and visuals of a growing brandAll necessary tools and software provided (or reimbursed)
