Sydney By Kayak is an award winning, family owned and operated kayak tour business. Since 2013 we have offered exclusive, small group kayak tours for locals, visitors and corporate organisations, on beautiful Sydney Harbour. Our 5-star, personalised tours attract people from all over the world who want to experience Sydney from the water. Whether it’s a Sunrise Kayak and Coffee, or giving back to the environment on our Eco Tours we help people make memories that will last a lifetime. Our team are passionate and love what we do. Qualifications and Experience
Experience in a similar role is a must. Proven outcomes with examples of work being provided.
You must be passionate about conservation and share our company values.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation: Join us on the water every Tuesday from 5am to 10am for our "Team Tuesday" sessions. Capture the magic of our Sunrise Kayak and Coffee tours and other team activities, weekly.
TikTok Reels: Film, edit and create a minimum of four high-quality, engaging TikTok reels per week that resonate with our audience. You’ll be able to do this in your own time, outside of the Tuesday content filming hours.
Social Media Strategy: Stay updated on the latest social media trends, algorithms, and trending sounds. Your content should reflect the latest in social media strategies to maximise engagement.
Additional Marketing: Help create professional marketing videos and content of our Eco-projects, kayak tours and amazing team, showcasing our premium, bucket-list, ecotourism business.
Face-to-face Meeting: Meet with the SBK admin team once a week to discuss and implement competitions, collaborations and general marketing campaigns.
Requirements:
Experience in social media content creation, including Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
Ability to use microphones, tripods, editing software and other content creation tools effectively.
An active, outdoorsy personality who would enjoy kayaking with the team.
Must be reliable and available for early mornings on Tuesdays as a minimum. Other days also available.
Preferably a Sydney local, happy to travel to Lavender Bay on a weekly basis.
You must have experience with transitions, clever editing and professional videography. We are not just looking for influencer reels. We are looking for polished, professional content to showcase our premium brand.
