The Role

Reporting to the Head of Brand & Marketing, the Social Media Executive is responsible for driving Oroton's social media strategy to enhance brand visibility, engagement, loyalty, and conversion. You’ll have your pulse on social media trends and craft engaging, brand-consistent posts, reels, captions, and stories to effectively communicate Oroton’s values, products, and promotions to our customer.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Work with Head of Brand & Marketing to develop and execute on the social media strategy.

Develop high-quality and low-fi content that aligns with the brand's aesthetics and messaging. Shoot content in-stores, at events, around the office, editing and uploading onto Oroton channels.

Develop and maintain a comprehensive social media calendar that outlines the posting schedule across various platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest)

Work closely with the Marketing, Merch and Design teams to ensure alignment of social media calendar on upcoming product launches, promotions, campaigns and events.

Execute influencer campaign from start to finish; reach out to influencers or agents, negotiate contracts, develop briefs, manage production timelines and live dates, supply tracking and work content into owned and paid channels.

Monitor and analyse the performance of social media posts and campaigns using analytics tools. This includes tracking metrics such as engagement rate, reach, impressions, click-through rate, and conversions.

The Person

To be successful in this role, you must have;

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, Communications or similar

3+ years’ experience in content, communications or marketing role

Experience with premium brands is highly desirable

Demonstrated experience in content creation, specifically in low-fi content – Instagram and Tiktok

Demonstrated experience with copywriting, social media management and SEO across a range of digital channels

Proven abilities in creating, developing, sourcing and editing content for various channels and end uses

Understanding of social media trends and the ability to adapt to changes quickly in a fast moving market and industry

Excellent time management skills, ability to be flexible and agile, and demonstrates a self-starter mentality

Strong communication skills - both written and verbal with proven experience writing and editing engaging marketing content

Exceptional attention to detail as the proof reader and owner of all live content, approving all final output to print, web or social
