The Vaughan International Film Festival (VFF) is a registered not-for-profit arts organization dedicated to supporting and showcasing short films from local and international filmmakers. Through screenings, student programs, and industry events, VFF aims to inspire creativity and provide opportunities for emerging talent.
About the Volunteer Role
VFF is seeking a Volunteer Social Media Assistant to support its Marketing Team. This role is ideal for individuals interested in contributing to a not-for-profit organization while gaining experience in social media content creation and event coverage.
This is an unpaid volunteer position and is not intended to replace a paid role.
Volunteer Responsibilities
Assist in creating content for social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Reels)
Support live event coverage by capturing photo/video content
Contribute ideas for social media posts and campaigns
Assist with basic video editing for short-form content
Collaborate with the marketing team to maintain a consistent brand voice
Preferred Skills & Experience
Interest in social media, marketing, or content creation
Comfortable filming and/or appearing on camera (not required but an asset)
Basic video editing skills (mobile apps or editing software)
Strong communication and ability to work in a team environment
Experience with Instagram or short-form video content is an asset
