Job Description
As a Social Studies Teacher, your role involves planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons that are aligned with the school curriculum. You will be using activity-based learning methods such as role plays, debates, projects, and simulations to make lessons interactive and meaningful for the students. Your responsibility will be to encourage critical thinking, discussion, and inquiry-based learning to help students understand concepts effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integrate maps, charts, multimedia presentations, and educational games to enhance classroom experiences.
- Organize field trips, exhibitions, and classroom activities that connect textbook knowledge with real-world understanding.
- Foster an appreciation for history, geography, civics, and culture among students.
- Maintain records of students" progress through regular assessments, quizzes, and projects.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, teamwork, and curiosity.
- Collaborate with other teachers to plan interdisciplinary activities and school events.
- Continuously update subject knowledge and incorporate current affairs into lessons to make learning relevant and up-to-date.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field.
- Teaching certification/license.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in using innovative teaching methods.
- Knowledge of current educational trends and technologies.
