About Us

Our focus is on recovery-oriented, collaborative care that empowers consumers and carers to achieve positive outcomes.

At Monash Health, you’ll be part of a diverse, multidisciplinary team dedicated to compassion, respect, excellence and integrity. We invest in our people through supervision, professional development and opportunities to contribute to teaching and research, ensuring you can grow your career while making a meaningful impact.

About You

You are an experienced and compassionate Social Worker who thrives in a multidisciplinary environment and is committed to supporting recovery-oriented mental health care. With a strong foundation in psychosocial assessment, evidence-informed interventions, and advocacy, you bring a collaborative and person-centred approach to your practice.

You’ll have:

Eligibility for membership with the AASW and a recognised Social Work qualification.
Minimum 5 years post graduate experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2026 and related legislation.
Experience providing psychosocial support in complex care situations, including family violence, child protection, homelessness, financial stressors and substance use.
Strong skills in engaging with consumers, carers, and community services to develop recovery-focused plans.
Excellent communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills to work effectively with both internal teams and external partners such as police, emergency services and community agencies.
A commitment to supervision, mentoring and contributing to student education, supporting the next generation of social workers.
A good understanding and working knowledge of the range of the service systems including Family Violence, Child Protection, My Aged Care, Transition Care Program, and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Mental Health and the recovery model is essential
