The Social Work Department Social Workers provide support and intervention across numerous physical health services including medical and surgical wards, Oncology, Maternity, Neonatal, Paediatrics, Child Health, Health of Older People and Community

About the Role
As a Social Worker, you will provide social work assessments, interventions and intensive social work support for clients of all ages to promote and facilitate the highest potential of functional independence. The role of a Social Worker in the Social Work Department includes ward and community-based roles.
Provide safe and clinically effective psychosocial assessments and intervention
Deliver safe, effective, and innovative care that is person- and whānau-centred, with a focus on meaningful outcomes

About you
As a Social Worker, you will maintain composure and focus under pressure, especially in fast-paced or emotionally demanding situations with an ability to working effectively with other healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary setting.
New Zealand Registration and current annual practising certificate with the New Zealand Social Workers Registration Board
Current New Zealand full drivers licence
Computer literacy: Word, Outlook and relevant clinical programs
Health Social Work experience
Demonstrated experience in social work processes, theories and concepts
Excellent written and verbal communication and proven conflict resolution skills
