Job Description :
As a Software Architect at Buddy Deals, you will be responsible for defining the technical architecture and guiding the engineering teams in building robust, scalable, and secure software solutions.
You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that our technology infrastructure aligns with business objectives and can support future growth.
Key Responsibilities :
• Design and architect scalable, high-performance, and secure software solutions that align with business goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and create architectural blueprints.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to ensure the scalability and maintainability of the platform.
• Identify and address architectural risks and technical debt, proposing solutions for long-term stability.
• Conduct code and design reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and architectural standards.
• Lead the adoption of modern development methodologies, including microservices, DevOps practices, and CI / CD pipelines.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions into our architecture.
• Mentor and support engineers in their technical development and growth.
Qualifications :
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in an architectural or technical leadership role.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale, distributed systems.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
• Experience with database design and management (SQL and NoSQL).
• Strong understanding of security best practices, performance optimization, and scalability considerations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, results-oriented attitude.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
