Job Summary:
Design, Implement and maintain the overall testing strategy for healthcare software products.
Define testing standards, policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure the quality of the software product.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, development, and quality assurance, to ensure that testing aligns with business and technical requirements.
Design and implement test automation frameworks and tools that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.
Analyze and understand existing test coverage and automation frameworks, identifying opportunities for redesign, replacement, reusability, and improvement in efficiency and performance.
Lead, govern, guide and mentor multiple teams of test engineers and ensure that they are following the testing strategy, standards, policies, and procedures
Analyze test results and provide recommendations to improve the quality of the software product.
Manage and maintain tests and testing environments and infrastructure, including hardware, software, and tools.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with software testing and ensure that testing is completed on schedule and within budget.
Provides Technical Leadership and Strategic Direction to the Testing Organization
Helps Formulate and Develop effective Test Architecture per organizational needs
Is Technically responsible for all the Testing performed by the Test Organization
Is the foremost Technical Authority and is responsible for the overall Quality of deliverables across all parameters, both functional and non-functional including performance, security, usability, etc.
Has wide-reaching scope, impact and influence extending beyond the confines of the Testing Organization and spans across the entire product organization
Is involved in driving organization-wide Quality Process initiatives and their implementation to ensure Quality of deliverables
Gets involved in understanding Business requirements and works with the development architect to translate requirements into solution architecture designs.
Reviews requirements and participates in product design reviews and works with the development architect and development team to make any design improvements and refinement as needed. Also helps incorporate Testability requirements into design
Participates in and contributes to the roadmap discussion.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: A bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
Experience: Must have a minimum of 12-18 years of experience in software testing, with at least 5 years of experience in healthcare software testing.
Technical skills: Must have expertise in software testing methodologies, tools, and technologies, including test automation frameworks, functional test, reliability testing performance testing, security testing, and API testing.
Certification: Green Belt or Black Belt Certified
Leadership skills: Must have strong leadership skills and be able to lead and mentor a team of test engineers.
Communication skills: Must have strong communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients.
Analytical and problem-solving skills: Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Attention to detail: Must have a keen eye for detail to ensure that testing is comprehensive and meets quality standards.
Healthcare industry knowledge: Must have a deep understanding of healthcare industry regulations, standards, and practices
