Project Role : Software Configuration Engineer
Project Role Description : Implement the configuration management plan as directed by the Configuration Lead. Assist in the design of software configuration and customization to meet the business process design and application requirements.
Must have skills : Red Hat OS Administration
Good to have skills : Linux Operations
Minimum 7.5 Year(s) Of Experience Is Required
Educational Qualification : BE Graduate
Roles & Responsibilities: - Creating Voulme Group, Filesystem Extension vxfs/xfs/ext4 - Kernel Patching -Via Satellite as well Manually via local repository - Basic understanding hardware knowledge on CISCO,Dell,HP and Huawei - Knowledge on Virtual Servers hosted on VMware Platform - Search Server from Vcenter and reboot using the console - Access servers using ILO and reboot - Troubleshoot O.S hung/ ping down issues using Control D / Kernel Panic / Dracut / Restoration - System Monitoring - CPU/Memory/SWAP/FS - Generation of SAR report, VMstat and IOStat to troubleshoot O.S performance issues - Start/stop/restart O.S System Services - Basic Knowledge on Veritas Cluster - Active-Passive/ Active-Active Cluster Setup - Mount point extension/ Disk addition Professional & Technical Skills: - bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Proven work experience as a Linux Administrator or a similar role. - Industry certifications, such as Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), are highly desired. - Strong understanding of server hardware and experience in server management. - Experience with configuration management tools, such as Ansible or Puppet, is a plus. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 7.5 years of experience in Linux. - The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in computer science or a related field, along with a proven track record of delivering impactful software configuration and customization solutions. - This position is based at our Noida office.
