Team Lead/Engineer/Senior Embedded Software Engineer
OVERALL SUMMARY
As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be leading or be part of a team that provides technology solutions in the domain of space – both rockets and satellites. We are looking for someone who has a strong passion for technology.
The ideal candidate for this position will be a reliable and adept software development professional in the area of Embedded Systems, who is eager to break down large, technical problems and solve them systematically.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for understanding product/project requirement specifications.
• Design or work with design teams to Complete design - technical Architecture and high level design to ensure that the product meets performance, reliability, most importantly customer expectations.
• Test functionality
• Expected to maintain and improve systems and development processes.
• Manage the projects - quality and ensure timely delivery
• Analyze business needs and implementation approaches, and deliver high-quality applications
• Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects on time
• Deliver successfully on all aspects of the product life cycle
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/computer science
• 4–8 years' of relevant experience in professional software development experience
COMPETENCIES/TECHNICAL SKILL SET
1. Successfully carried out projects in embedded software for defense, aerospace, space domains, independently and as team member
2. Good Programming experience in C, C++, Ada
3. Software Architecture.
4. Device drivers
5. Safety critical software development process and practices. Familiarity with standards : DO-178B
6. Configuration Management, Defect Tracking
7. Design Patterns, Reuse, Standardization.
8. Software Unit testing , structural testing , Requirements testing
+. Experience with communication protocols like RS 485, CAN
10. Software Architecture and design documentation
11. GUI design
