Here's how a Software Developer for our Edmonton NAHQ office contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
Responds to tier-three requests for technical support.
Follows and finds opportunities for process improvement.
Investigates, troubleshoots, and resolves bugs.
Maintains, enhances, and performs technology upgrades on custom-built applications.
Communicates project progress throughout development.
Breaks down architectural designs into development tasks and estimating the time required for development tasks.
Creates and executes unit tests.
Researches and recommends new trending technologies, enhancements, and best practices.
Develops and maintains strong, customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders.
Assists with the creation of technical and nontechnical reports.
Most of your development and testing work will be done in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations platform
Works to support and enhances our construction management solution, driving our core business.
Qualifications
Postsecondary degree or diploma in computer technology or a related discipline.
0 - 2 years of experience, entry level applicants encouraged to apply.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts clearly and concisely.
Ability to think logically and analytically, and to constructively express ideas and concepts.
Organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize own work.
Ability to work independently and in a team by collaborating to solve problems.
Proficient with:
X++ and D365 for Finance & Operations development OR
Web-based development using C#, ASP.Net MVC, ASP.Net Core MVC, Angular 8+, TypeScript, JavaScript, and JQuery
Experience or Exposure to Azure Services such as App Services, SQL Databases, Function Apps, and Storage accounts.
Proficient with ADO.Net, ADO.Net Core, and ADO. Net Entity Framework.
Proficient with SQL Server databases and transact SQL.
Basic understanding of process methodologies (e.g., scrum, XP, lean, and agile).
