Job Description
• Software Developer (EDI) will provide technical support to our internal & external Behr customers in various countries , US, Canada, India etc. This individual will work closely with IT Business Analysts as well as Business SMEs in US & India. This includes working closely with our SAP Functional & Technical teams and work on developing different EDI/Middleware Maps, solutions etc. to meet ongoing business needs.
• Must be ready and able to work flexible hours as needed .
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily Monitoring
• Daily Monitoring of EDI systems ( IBM Sterling ) for all Inbound & Outbound communications.
• Monitor & Resolve issues reported daily by Customer/Vendor on failed EDI documents by working with ITBAs, systems or process owners and project teams to find acceptable solutions.
Production Support
• Support & Enhance Company's Customer EDI Integration solutions ( EDI – 850, 855, 860, 856, 810, 846, 753, 754, 820 etc. ) & Vendor EDI Integration solutions ( EDI – 850, 855 etc. )
• Troubleshooting EDI/Middleware system's issues reported by the Internal IT Business Analysts & business users via Service Now Incidents and providing resolutions.
• Resolving issues related to implemented EDI solution integrated with SAP modules , SAP SD, MM, FI, or processes by working closely with ITBAs (in US & India) , systems or process owners and project team to find acceptable solutions.
Implementation
• Communicate effectively with all Internal & External customers while working on Implementation, Rollout & Support projects.
• Understand EDI specifications & develop EDI Maps in IBM Sterling for Customer or Vendor requirements like 850, 855, 860, 856, 810, 846, 753, 754, 820 etc.
• Participate as a High-level technical EDI expert in design, development, coding, documenting, testing, for new implementation/rollout projects.
• Create and provide quality technical documentation , Cross-Maps .
• Work closely with the SAP Functional (SAP SD, MM, FI etc.) & Development (ABAP, Basis) team to build technical solutions as per the business requirement.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: (Overall experience and years of experience in particular skill)
• Bachelor's degree required in computer science, business, or related field.
• 5-7 Years of technical EDI experience in IBM Sterling EDI tools.
• Good written & verbal Communication skills.
• Proficient in IBM Sterling EDI Mapping for Customer/Vendor , 850, 855, 856, 810 etc.
• Experience in other Enterprise Integration/Middleware technologies , Jitterbit, API etc .
• Proven understanding of the software development lifecycle and methodologies, as well as the specific requirements for maintaining systems in a regulated environment
• Proven ability to manage small to medium size projects.
• Experience in working with different SAP Functional & Technical teams .
• Experience in handling Global Clients especially US, Canada .
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to manage small projects and activities related to EDI systems.
• Ability to establish effective interpersonal relations.
• Time management skills & organizational skills including multi-taking and prioritize workload.
Nice-To-Have
• SAP Functional experience , SD, MM, FI would be a plus.
• IBM Sterling Integrator Certification would be a plus.
