Assistant Vice President – Developer, Securities Services Technology
Job Purpose:
The individual will be part of the Securities Services Technology team based in Pune, India. The role is required to be part of a team developing and supporting our global Intake Management Application suite based on an Oracle APEX environment. This is a hands-on developer, technical role where the successful candidate will be a key member of the development team, developing the application.
Job Background/context:
Oracle APEX (also known as APEX or Oracle Application Express) is an enterprise low-code development platform from Oracle that is used to develop and deploy web applications on Oracle databases. APEX provides a web-based integrated development environment (IDE) that uses wizards, drag-and-drop layout, and property editors to build applications and pages. APEX intends to simplify the process of creating web applications that serve as a frontend to a database server, among other things.
Key Responsibilities:
Required:
• Development and to support an internally used APEX environment.
• Candidate is expected to have at least 8 years' experience software development working in an Agile environment
• Strong experience in the SDLC and managing releases via DevOps
• Strong oral, written and presentation skills along with solid analytical, and interpersonal skills
• Self-drive, with a passion for change, act with sense of urgency and is passionate about delivering
• Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
• Ensures essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes
• Excellent influencing and negotiating skills with ability to work across all levels of the organization
• Oracle experience (3+ years), SQL/PLSQL
• Data modelling experience (e.g., Use of Entity relationship diagramming tool/processes etc.)
• Ideally some UI development experience with commercial UI's
Desired:
• Oracle APEX (20.x)
• Experience working with/building commercial User Interfaces
• JavaScript, CSS, HTML experience
• JIRA
• Bitbucket/GIT
• Agile (SCRUM)
Education:
• Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent work experience
