General information:The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1500 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning.
However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program.
The INOPC team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy's units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business.
To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.
The Power Platform Specialist is responsible for supporting the Global operations team of the BL and regional HUBs in development of Microsoft Power Platform based solutions on business needs.
Able to understand, develop, test and implement the suitable solutions consist of an application for user interface, teams / SharePoint as a data base and Power BI Dashboards for analytics as well as process automation.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop modular and robust WPF based windows applications using MVVM (Model-View-View Model) architecture. Develop rich UI/UX using XAML and Maintain or refactor existing applications, do bug fixes and improvements on them. Write unit tests for the modules developed. Integrate the windows applications with various CAD software like E3 Series, AutoCAD and Mi-croStation using available APIs.
Be responsible for the software quality of the system, actively work to reduce technical debt, and create and monitor KPIs for the code base.
Write user centric wiki pages and write developer documentation.
Your background:
Bachlors Degree in Computer Science, Software engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Solid software developing experience (minimum 5 years working in a software development team preferably using an agile process like SCRUM) Solid knowledge of C#, WPF MVVM pattern, XAML (styles, templates, binding, triggers ) Good knowledge of software design patterns and refactoring techniques.
Knowledge of SOA gRPC (service-oriented architecture) Good experience in code refactoring Good experience in writing unit tests and mock testing (using the Moq framework
