Responsibilities of the Candidate:
• Derive functional safety software requirements for safety-critical automotive components.
• Support hardware safety requirements for safety-critical automotive components.
• Develop function monitoring layers as per ISO 26262 standards.
• Design functional safety systems for control units, inverters, and other power electronics subsystems using Matlab tools.
• Perform safety analysis at system, software, and hardware levels.
• Conduct FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, and DFA to analyze stakeholder requirements.
• Interface with experts globally to evaluate and specify power electronics subsystem requirements.
• Generate a detailed Product Definition Document (PDD) outlining product requirements.
• Create power electronics controller design concepts (product mechanization).
• Develop model-based designs using tools like Matlab and Simulink.
• Develop software based on Autosar standards.
• Utilize software development tools such as Lauterbach, HEW, and VSlick.
• Apply knowledge of software build environments, compilers, and MAKE files.
• Develop according to software configuration management practices (e.g., SVN).
• Create CAN simulation/dbc files from CAN Matrix.
• Use Vector CAN tools (e.g., CANalyzer, CANoe) and ETAS-INCA for development.
• Debug, solve problems and implement corrective measures.
• Prepare design records and testing data.
Requirements:
• Academic Qualifications:
• BTech/MTech in Electronics, Instrumentation, Automotive, or equivalent fields.
• Advanced qualifications are an advantage.
• Technical Qualifications:
• Embedded Software Design and Development: Proficiency in Embedded Linux, Embedded C/C++.
• Functional Safety: In-depth knowledge of ISO 26262 standards and guidelines for safety-critical components.
• Software Development Tools: Expertise with tools such as Lauterbach, HEW, and VSlick, and familiarity with software build environments, compilers, and MAKE files.
• CAN Simulation: Ability to create and work with CAN simulation/dbc files from CAN Matrix.
• Vector CAN Tools: Proficient in using tools like CANalyzer and CANoe, as well as ETAS-INCA.
• NodeJS and SailsJS: Experience with NodeJS, familiarity with SailsJS, and REST API design is a bonus.
• Agile Methods: Knowledge of development and operation methods related to agile software development.
• ASPICE Process: Experience working within the ASPICE process capability maturity model and V-model development processes.
• Communication Protocols: Knowledge of protocols like CAN, Modbus, SPI, LIN, and K-LINE.
