RAC have the exciting and unique opportunity to appoint a Software Developer with strong analytical skills and experience in using Crystal Reports Software to join our IT Team on a permanent basis. This role will be delivered on a flexible hybrid model of working three days from home and two days at our Bradley Stoke office in Bristol.
In this role you will be liaising and working with the business in the timely creation and maintenance of fulfilment correspondence such as Policy Schedules, New Business packs or other types of correspondence that are sent to our customer base.
What you'll do...
You’ll be asked to manage the Crystal Report environment, creating various views from other business critical databases in order to provide the business with the above capability. Along with the following;
• Interrogate Relational Databases (specifically Oracle 11g) in order to satisfy business requirements and support current business processes.
• Act as a work stream lead for fulfilment creation on business and IT Lead projects.
• Understand the fulfilment process involving third party suppliers.
• Act as a mentor to any new members and manage stakeholders effectively with an understanding of the project life-cycle.
• Provide subject matter expertise in the creation of and maintenance of any fulfilment process changes.
What you'll need...
We’re looking for someone with experience in PL/SQL and Crystal Reports, as well as;
• Oracle 11g experience writing views, queries, PL/SQL, creating tables and maintaining data.
• Good testing ability with clear test results.
• Experience of leading or managing and coaching/motivating others.
• Proven track record of delivering in a change environment.
• Good documentation and attention to detail.
• Demonstrable success of working to deadlines and productivity, whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality.
