Anytime Booking are a leading provider of online booking software for the hospitality industry in the UK. Founded in 2011, their software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform helps businesses in the camping/glamping, holiday property agencies, and motorhome/campervan hire sectors manage their guest bookings. With over 600 businesses using their system, they are continually innovating to improve their product and customer experience.
Anytime Booking’s headquarters are located in Helston, Cornwall, the ideal candidate will be Cornwall based (or in a commutable distance to Helston), open to going into the office 1-2 times per week.
About the Role:
We are seeking a Junior Developer to join Anytime Booking’s dynamic team and contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of their SaaS booking management system. The role focuses on improving the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) for both customers and their guests.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
• Continuously enhance the UI/UX of the booking management system.
• Develop mobile-responsive features and applications.
• Implement new features based on customer feedback.
• Collaborate with the development team and Product Owner to design platform solutions.
• Take ownership of projects from conception to deployment under senior guidance.
• Conduct testing and quality assurance to ensure platform efficiency and responsiveness.
• Troubleshoot and debug errors as needed.
• Create and maintain internal and external documentation.
• Adapt to changing requirements and milestones.
About You:
• Some experience as a Junior Developer or similar role.
• Experience in developing web and mobile applications.
• Proficiency in front-end languages and libraries (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Vue 2.6, React).
• Basic knowledge of back-end languages (PHP, Node.js).
• Familiarity with databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB) and UI/UX design principles.
• Understanding of APIs and their utilisation.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
• Strong attention to detail, debugging, and optimisation abilities.
• An analytical mindset.
• A degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a relevant field is ideal but not essential.
