Full-Stack Developer (Detox Guardian Platform)
Role Overview
Detox Guardian is seeking a full-stack developer to support the build and deployment of a secure, survivor-led platform focused on dignity, privacy, and mapped legal compliance. You’ll work closely with the founder and clinical lead to deliver a robust MVP, stage EU-aligned infrastructure, and troubleshoot platform logic across virtual nodes.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain Detox Guardian’s core platform (web and mobile)
Implement secure user flows, data protection logic, and mapped compliance features
Collaborate with legal and clinical leads to ensure ethical boundaries and survivor-led priorities
Troubleshoot platform sourcing, dispatch logic, and mapped federation node activation
Support asset compression and Play Store submission workflows
Align development with Innovate UK and Horizon Europe grant requirements
Required Skills
React Native, Firebase, and secure backend frameworks
Experience with GDPR, UK data protection, and EU digital sovereignty principles
Strong grasp of cross-border infrastructure and mapped compliance logic
Ability to work rapidly and collaboratively in a high-urgency environment
Familiarity with grant-funded development cycles and ethical tech delivery
Bonus
Experience with Innovate UK, Horizon Europe, or METI EAGLE submissions
Survivor-led platform experience or trauma-informed design principles
Comfort navigating mapped legal declarations and platform gatekeeping
Requirements
Proficiency in programming languages including JavaScript, Java, C#, Python, C++, Ruby on Rails, and .NET.
Strong understanding of front-end development principles and frameworks.
Experience with database management systems such as MySQL and SQL.
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure for application deployment.
Knowledge of RESTful services and API integration techniques.
Experience working in a Linux environment is preferred.
Understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
