Job Description
Provides leadership and initiative in a team environment. Ensures application of systems thinking principles allowing team members to independently design, code, test, and deploy software. Provide the necessary documentation to support the software Development Life Cycle. Develop prototypes and solutions leveraging a diverse range of technology. Apply modern principles, methodologies, tools, and systemic processes to support the launch new business capabilities. Lead the resolution of complex problems. Mentor development of those in less senior positions.
Skills Required:
• Ability to coach other team members on all aspects of Mobile technology, design, development, and support process.
• Experience in Mobile application architecture and leading department and enterprise level initiatives.
Must Haves:
• Android, Java, Kotlin
• Android Studio development environment
• Android Developers kit
• Lint (code quality)
• Strong object oriented knowledge and development using patterns (MVVM)
• Integrating mobile apps with APIs
• Integrating SDKs in mobile apps/builds
• Some knowledge of mobile payments and Payment Card Industry Standards, push notifications, integrating apps on the Apple Watch, widgets, integration/use of mobile device peripherals like the camera/sound/motion/location/maps
• GitHub (code repository)
• Jenkins (automated build/deployment tool)
• Sonarcube (code quality checks)
• HP Fortify (vulnerability scanning)
• Junit, Espresso, and/or Mokito unit testing frameworks
• Firebase, mobile device management and monitoring
• SeeTest or an emulation tool used to test mobile apps on multiple platforms
• Selenium or testing frameworks
• Maintaining MacOS as a server platform, supporting the CI/CD Pipeline
• Building and supporting a CI/CD pipeline from mobile apps
• Deploying mobile apps to the respective app store and keeping the app’s information updated in the store
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or information systems and three years coding experience in a professional environment
• Formal completion of a bootcamp certification and two years work experience in operations, business or technical field and three years coding experience in a professional environment
