About the role:
We are seeking a talented Middleware Integration Developer to join our team and take responsibility for developing a robust and efficient middleware system using AS2 and SFTP protocols. As a Middleware Integration Developer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless data transfer and integration between various systems.
Responsibilities:
Ability to develop and build EDI maps inbound and outbound based on the document structure and specifications
Responsible for analysing and designing specifications used for enhancements and extensions in EDI applications, interfaces, and mappings
Create and maintain customized mapping specs and provide technical support for all inbound / Outbound B2B transactions / Messages
Develop and maintain a middleware system for integration using AS2 and SFTP protocols.
Setup and test new B2B file transfers in different environments, ensuring smooth and secure data exchange.
Collaborate with the security team to grant access to individuals and system accounts, ensuring proper authentication and authorization.
Configure and set up new SFTP sites to facilitate B2B file transfers, adhering to security best practices.
Provide support following standard operations processes, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to file transfer errors.
Monitor and proactively address any performance or connectivity issues related to the middleware system.
Collaborate with stakeholders to support testing activities and ensure successful integration between systems.
Manage configuration changes such as password resets, certificate renewals, and PGP keys, maintaining the integrity and security of the system.
Demonstrate a strong dedication to providing quality customer service, ensuring timely resolution of issues and effective communication with stakeholders.
Utilize effective problem-solving skills and conduct root cause analysis to identify and address underlying issues.
Possess proficiency in at least one EDI tool like Sterling B2B Integrator, TIBCO, or similar platforms.
Demonstrate sound knowledge of EDI standards such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and XML.
Understand and apply XSLT, XSD, and XML parsing processes to transform and process data effectively.
Familiarity with WebMethods in the EDI domain is a huge plus, showcasing a broader skill set.
Exhibit proficiency in scripting languages like JavaScript, Perl, or similar technologies to automate tasks and enhance system functionality.
Have a strong understanding of file sharing protocols, including AS2, AS3, FTP/SFTP, HTTP/HTTPS, and their implementation in the middleware system.
Experience in EDI mapping to/from platforms/technologies like SAP IDOC is desirable.
Identify and promote standardized, reusable technology functionality in alignment with business and technology strategy, reduce cost of ownership and improve information flow.
Provide leadership to produce and maintain software artifacts and high-level conceptual designs in collaboration with development, infrastructure, other IT and business teams.
Understand the impact of changes to existing processes, functions and systems and document these relations with processes and information flow diagrams.
Installing/maintaining/Administering/configuring EDI Opentext according to business requirement Administers all B2B communication, including SFTP and AS2 encrypted transmissions
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Extensive experience in Design, develop and delivering Integration in SAP PI/PO and SAP B2B Integration.
Proven experience in developing and implementing middleware systems, specifically using AS2 and SFTP protocols.
Strong understanding of B2B integration concepts and experience with EDI tools and standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex issues and propose effective solutions.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Understand the functionalities of each EDI document based on the Group Segments.
Experience in stabilizing & operating complex SAP environments for EDI flows.
Experience with complex third-party application based on AS2, SFTP, OFTP, X400, REST connections
Migrate EDI flows from one platform to another by understanding the basic of the flows.
Experience of working with different EDI formats like ANSI X12, Edifact, Tradcoms, etc.
Knowledge of SAP landscape, process architecture and the SAP application portfolio
Ability to work in a diverse environment, use proactive communication and collaboration with different teams and individuals to achieve results.
Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
