Software Developer (Python & Java)
Millennium's Fixed Income and Commodities Order Execution Technology team is looking for a software developer/data engineer who will be working on designing, implementing, and supporting the platform responsible for both automated and manual order executions. The candidate will be designing & implementing systems that support our execution platform, dealing with reference data, market data, and data captured from our Algos for analysis. To be successful in this role you will need to partner closely with Traders, Compliance, and other functions at the firm.
Job Duties
• Participate in the design of new data pipelines & frameworks (on prem and cloud)
• Implement & maintain software built in Java and Python
• Answer support team queries
• Collaborate with the Development team, Quality Assurance, and Support
Required Qualifications
• BS/BA or higher degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other quantitative related degree
• 5+ years of Python programming experience
• 3+ years of experience with Java programming
• Experience running applications in the cloud (AWS, GCP etc.)
• Experience with data analytics tasks such as cleansing, normalizing and visualization
Desirable Qualifications
• 3+ years Spring Framework (Boot, IoC, data mappings, etc) experience
• Experience with Apache Cassandra, Spark, Kafka and Zeppelin
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or Apache Airflow
